Partneriaeth Newydd i Feithrin Sgiliau STEM

Mae Grŵp Llandrillo Menai a chwmni Sbarduno yn cydweithio ar gynllun i ysbrydoli pobl ifanc i ystyried gyrfa yn y diwydiant Gwyddoniaeth, Technoleg, Peirianneg a Mathemateg (STEM).

Lluniwyd Memorandwm Cyd-ddealltwriaeth rhwng y ddau sefydliad, a bydd Sbarduno, cwmni annog ymgysylltiad â STEM sydd wedi'i leoli yng ngogledd Cymru, yn defnyddio labordai newydd sbon Grŵp Llandrillo Menai ar gampysau'r Grŵp yn Llangefni, Pwllheli a Dolgellau i gynnig rhaglen eang o ddigwyddiadau i annog ymgysylltiad â STEM a hyrwyddo gyrfaoedd STEM i bobl ifanc.

Bydd myfyrwyr cyfredol Grŵp Llandrillo Menai hefyd yn elwa o'r digwyddiadau a'r sesiynau a gynhelir gan Sbarduno, a bydd y ddau sefydliad yn cynnal amrywiaeth o ddigwyddiadau apelgar i hyrwyddo STEM ar draws gogledd Cymru mewn digwyddiadau fel yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol eleni.

Eglurodd Awen Ashworth, Perchennog Sbarduno,

“Dyma gyfle cyffroes iawn i Sbarduno! Rydw i'n edrych ymlaen at weithio mewn partneriaeth â Grŵp Llandrillo Menai ar y tri safle i ysbrydoli pobl ifanc Ynys Môn a Gwynedd.

Mae cydweithio a rhannu'r un egni yn cryfhau'r gefnogaeth y gallwn ei gynnig i Wyddonwyr y dyfodol, drwy wella eu dealltwriaeth o'r cyfleodd STEM sydd ar gael yn y rhanbarth."

Dywedodd Aled Jones-Griffith - Pennaeth Coleg Menai a Choleg Meirion-Dwyfor,

"Rydym yn falch iawn o'r cyfle i gydweithio gyda Sbarduno ac yn edrych ymlaen at weithio gydag Awen a'i thîm i gynnig sesiynau diddorol ac apelgar i bobl ifanc gogledd Cymru. Ein gobaith ydy y bydd y rhain yn eu hysbrydoli i weithio gyda STEM yn y dyfodol."

Ychwanegodd,

"Rydym wedi buddsoddi'n helaeth yn ein campysau er mwyn sicrhau bod ein pobl ifanc yn derbyn eu haddysg mewn cyfleusterau, fel ein labordai a'n gweithdai peirianneg, sydd o safon diwydiant. Bydd hyn yn eu paratoi i ddilyn gyrfaoedd llwyddiannus ym maes STEM".

Thanks to a new Memorandum of Understanding, Sbarduno - a North-Wales based STEM engagement organisation - will utilise Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s brand new science laboratories at its Llangefni, Pwllheli and Dolgellau campuses to deliver a broad programme of events to promote STEM engagement and careers amongst young people.

Current students at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai will also benefit from events and sessions held by Sbarduno, and the two organisations will also host a variety of engaging activities to promote STEM within North Wales, at events such as Eisteddfod Genedlaethol 2023.

Awen Ashworth, Owner of Sbarduno, explained,

“This is a very exciting opportunity for Sbarduno! I am looking forward to working in partnership with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai across the 3 sites inspiring young people of Anglesey and Gwynedd".

"Collaborating and sharing similar synergies will enhance the support we give to our future Scientists by raising their awareness of the STEM opportunities we have available in the region”.
