Prosiect Newydd i Daclo Unigrwydd ym Maes Iechyd a Gofal

Mae'n brosiect cydweithredol, bydd myfyrwyr sy'n dilyn cyrsiau Cyfrifiadura yng Ngholeg Llandrillo yn rhaglennu robot rhyngweithiol, amlbwrpas, o'r enw Pepper ac ar yr un pryd, bydd myfyrwyr o'r adran Iechyd a Gofal yn astudio effaith cadarnhaol y robot ar unigolion.

Eglurodd Hailey Hockenhull, Rheolwr y Maes Rhaglen Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol yng Ngholeg Llandrillo:⁠

"Rydym yn ddiolchgar i Gyngor Sir Ddinbych am gynnig cyfle i'n myfyrwyr weithio gyda'u tîm a gyda’r robot blaengar hwn.

⁠"Mae ein gwaith gyda Pepper yn arbrawf cyffroes i ganfod ydy robotiaid yn gallu cynnig cymorth gwirioneddol i'r sector gofal cymdeithasol. ⁠Mae Pepper yn robot blaengar iawn, gall wneud cyswllt llygaid a dynwared symudiadau. Mae hynny'n gwneud i chi deimlo eich bod yn cael sgwrs go iawn ag o."

Meddai Elen Heaton, Aelod Arweiniol Cyngor Sir Ddinbych dros Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol,

Cafodd y prosiect Roboteg Gofal Cymdeithasol ei ohirio yn ystod y Pandemig, oherwydd y bwriad gwreiddiol oedd ymchwilio i ymyrraeth wyneb yn wyneb i fynd i'r afael ag unigrwydd.

Mae'r bartneriaeth newydd rhwng Cyngor Sir Ddinbych a Grŵp Llandrillo Menai yn gyfle cyffroes i ddatblygu dealltwriaeth o fanteision posib y math yma o waith. Mae'n edrych ar fanteision rhoi lle canolog i dechnoleg yn y sector gofal cymdeithasol ac yn cynnig cipolwg i bobl ifanc a myfyrwyr ar y sector ynghyd â chyfle i feddwl yn greadigol a datblygu dulliau i ddatrys problemau yn y dyfodol."

The collaborative project involves Coleg Llandrillo Computing students programming an interactive, versatile robot - ‘Pepper’, whilst Health & Social Care students study the positive effects it can have.

Hailey Hockenhull, Programme Area Manager for Health and Social Care at Coleg Llandrillo, explained,

“We’re grateful to Denbighshire County Council for giving our students the opportunity to work with their team and this advanced robot.

“Our work with Pepper is an exciting trial to discover if robots can really help within the social care sector. Pepper is highly advanced, and is able to make eye contact and mimic movements to make you really feel as though you're engaged in conversation with it”

Councillor Elen Heaton, Lead member for Health and Social Care at Denbighshire County Council, said,

“The Social Care Robotics project was postponed during the Pandemic as its original intention was to research face to face interventions into tackling loneliness.

The newly formed partnership between Denbighshire County Council and Grŵp Llandrillo Menai is an exciting opportunity to develop an understanding of the potential benefits. It not only explores the advantages of integrating technologies into the social care sector, but also opens up opportunities for young people and students to gain an insight into the sector, allowing them to think creatively and develop solutions for the future.”
