Myfyrwyr Ffilm a Theledu yn Mynychu Dosbarth Meistr BBC

Cafodd myfyrwyr ar gampws Coleg Menai yn Llangefni yn ddiweddar y pleser o dderbyn dosbarth meistr dau ddiwrnod gan gomisiynwyr teledu BBC Cymru Wales

Arweiniwyd y sesiynau gan y Pennaeth Comisiynu, Nick Andrews, ynghyd â'r Comisiynwyr Siân Harries a Sorelle Neil.

Ar ddiwrnod un cafwyd cyflwyniad i'r broses gomisiynu yn BBC Cymru Wales, lle cafodd y myfyrwyr ganllawiau ynglŷn ag ennill comisiwn. Gorffennodd y gweithdy gyda sesiwn Cwestiwn ac Ateb, lle roedd myfyrwyr yn medru holi'r comisiynwyr ynglŷn a'r diwydiant Ffilm a Theledu, a gweithio yn y BBC.

Roedd yr ail sesiwn yn edrych mewn dyfnder ar y strategaeth y tu hwnt i "A killing in Tiger Bay", cyfres ddogfen ar lofruddiaeth a ddigwyddodd yng Nghaerdydd. Rhoddwyd cyfle hefyd i'r myfyrwyr i holi cwestiynau ar ddiwedd y sesiwn hwn.

Eglurodd Paul Edwards, Arweinydd Maes Rhaglen y Celfyddydau Perfformio yng Ngholeg Menai:

"Diolch i chi BBC Cymru Wales am ymweld â'n myfyrwyr a chyflwyno'r sesiynau rhyngweithiol hyn. Roeddent yn ddau ddiwrnod diddorol tu hwnt ac yn cynnig mewnwelediad i'r maes, ac rydym yn edrych ymlaen at gyd weithio".

Ychwanegodd, "Dyma un o'r nifer o weithgareddau ac ymweliadau a gynlluniwn ar gyfer ein myfyrwyr ar hyd y flwyddyn, mewn ymgais i'w hysbrydoli i gyflawni eu potensial llawn".

Dywedodd Nick Andrews, Pennaeth Comisiynu BBC Cymru Wales,

"Rydym yn awyddus i gael pobl ifanc, leol i'r diwydiant ffilm a theledu yma yng Nghymru. Mae BBC Cymru Wales bob amser yn chwilio am ffyrdd o gynyddu cynulleidfaoedd a chreu argraff, felly roedd wir yn ddiddorol i siarad gyda'r myfyrwyr i glywed yr hyn roedd ganddynt i'w ddweud".

"Diolch i Goleg Menai am y croeso cynnes - roedd siarad gyda'r myfyrwyr cynhyrchu Ffilm a Theledu yn gyfle gwych i ysbrydoli gwneuthurwyr ffilm a rhaglenni teledu'r dyfodol yng Nghymru".

Y DIWEDD

The sessions were led by Head of Commissioning, Nick Andrews, along with Sian Harris and Sorelle Neil, Commissioners.

Day one involved an introduction to the commissioning process at BBC Cymru Wales, and the students were presented with a how-to guide on winning a commission. The workshop ended with a question-and-answer session, where students were able to quiz the commissioners on the Film & TV industry, and working at BBC.

The second session was an in-depth look at the strategy behind ‘A Killing in Tiger Bay’, a documentary series on a murder that happened in Cardiff. Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions at the end of this session.

Paul Edwards, Programme Area Manager for Creative Arts at Coleg Menai, explained,

“Thank you to BBC Cymru Wales for visiting our students and delivering these interactive sessions. They were two thoroughly interesting and insightful days, and we are looking forward to continuing to work together”

He added, “This is just one of many activities and visits that we plan for our students across the year, in a bid to inspire them to achieve their full potential”

Nick Andrews, BBC Cymru Wales Head of Commissioning, said,

“We are eager to get young, local people into the film and television industry here in Wales. BBC Cymru Wales is always looking at ways to grow audiences and make an impact, so it was really interesting speaking to the students to hear what they had to say”.
