Coleg yn dathlu Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen
Ar Ionawr 25 bob blwyddyn, mae pobl ym mhob cwr o Gymru yn dathlu Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen. Ymunodd staff a dysgwyr rhwydwaith Grŵp Llandrillo Menai yn y dathliadau eto eleni, a threfnwyd cyfres o ddigwyddiadau i ddathlu diwrnod Santes Cariadon Cymru.
Mae poblogrwydd Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen wedi cynyddu yn sylweddol yn ddiweddar: cynhelir digwyddiadau arbennig fel cyngherddau a phartïon ac argraffir cardiau ar thema Gymreig. Roedd Santes Dwynwen yn ferch i'r Brenin Brychan Brycheiniog ac yn byw ar Ynys Llanddwyn, Ynys Môn, yn y 5ed ganrif.
Creodd dau aelod o'r staff arlwyo sypiau o fisgedi siâp calon, teisennau bach a bisgedi siocled, er mawr lawenydd i'r staff a'r myfyrwyr.
Cynigiodd myfyrwyr Trin Gwallt a Therapi Harddwch amrywiaeth o driniaethau, gan adael pob cwsmer yn teimlo'u bod wedi eu sbwylio'n lân.
Crëwyd bwâu balŵn rhamantus ar sawl campws, a oedd yn ganolog mewn nifer o hunluniau. Roedd bythod ffotograff ar gael ar gyfer lluniau llawn hwyl, a chafodd fideos amrywiol eu creu ar y thema, a’u gosod ar sianeli cyfryngau cymdeithasol y coleg i eraill eu mwynhau.
I gloi, lluniwyd rhestr chwarae o ganeuon serch Cymraeg gan staff er mwyn i fyfyrwyr eu mwynhau.
The popularity of St. Dwynwen's Day has increased considerably over recent decades: special events such as concerts and parties have been held and Welsh-themed cards printed. St. Dwynwen was the daughter of King Brychan Brycheiniog and lived on Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey in the 5th Century.
Two members of the catering staff created batches of freshly-baked, heart-shaped shortbreads, cupcakes and chocolate biscuits, much to the delight of staff and students.
Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy students offered a range of treatments, leaving all takers feeling truly pampered.
Romantic balloon arches were created at several campuses, which took centre stage in numerous selfies. Photobooths were available for fun-filled photos, and various themed videos were created and placed on the college’s social media channels for others to enjoy.
Last but not least, a Welsh language love songs playlist was put together by staff for students to enjoy.
