Myfyrwyr Lefel A y Gyfraith CMD, yn ennill lle ar gynllun LEDLET

Rydym yn falch iawn o gyhoeddi bod tri o fyfyrwyr Lefel A y Gyfraith yng Ngholeg Meirion-Dwyfor, Dolgellau wedi ennill lle ar gynllun LEDLET Ymddiriedolaeth Addysg Gyfreithiol yr Arglwydd Edmund Davies yn ddiweddar.

Bydd Tesni Hughes a Matthew Phelps yn cael blas o’r proffesiwn cyfreithiol drwy’r Cynllun Ysgol Haf, ac mae Efa Hughes wedi cael cynnig lle ar y cynllun mentor cyfreithiol.

Mae Ymddiriedolaeth Addysg Gyfreithiol yr Arglwydd Edmund Davies, neu LEDLET yn fyr, yn elusen annibynnol a sefydlwyd yn 2013 i wasanaethu pobl ifanc sy'n byw yng Nghymru neu sydd â chysylltiad â Chymru sydd â diddordeb mewn ymuno â'r proffesiwn cyfreithiol. Mae'r elusen yn cael ei rhedeg gan dîm o ymddiriedolwyr o ystod amrywiol o gefndiroedd cyfreithiol, pob un â chysylltiadau â Chymru. Yn benodol, sefydlwyd LEDLET gyda'r nod o sicrhau na fyddai unrhyw un mewn cymdeithas yn dod i'r casgliad y byddai eu cefndir yn eu hatal rhag gweithio yn y gyfraith.

Dywedodd Louise Harding, Darlithydd y Gyfraith, Adran Lefel A, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Dolgellau.

“Rydym yn falch iawn o lwyddiant ein myfyrwyr, mae’r cynllun hwn gan Ymddiriedolaeth Addysg Gyfreithiol yr Arglwydd Edmund Davies yn gynllun uchel iawn ei barch, ac yn gychwyn arbennig o dda i’r rhai hynny sydd yn ddigon ffodus o gael eu dewis ar gyfer y cynllun.”

“Mae ymroddiad Tesni, Matthew ac Efa i’r cwrs yn destament bod gwaith caled yn talu ar ei ganfed, nid ar chware bach mae cael eich dewis ar y cynllun hwn. Da iawn chi.”

Tesni Hughes and Matthew Phelps will get a taste of the legal profession through the Summer School Scheme, and Efa Hughes has been offered a place on the legal mentoring scheme.#

The Lord Edmund Davies Legal Education Trust, or LEDLET for short, is an independent charity established in 2013 to serve young people living in Wales or having a connection with Wales who are interested in entering the legal profession. The charity is run by a team of trustees from a diverse range of legal backgrounds, all with connections to Wales. In particular, LEDLET was founded with the aim of ensuring that no one in society would conclude that their background would prevent them from entering the law.

Louise Harding, Lecturer in Law, A-Level Department, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Dolgellau said.

“We are very proud of the success of our students, this scheme by Lord Edmund Davies Legal Education Trust is a highly regarded scheme, and a particularly good start for those lucky enough to be selected at for the scheme. ”
