CMD A Level Law students, gain a place on the LEDLET scheme

We are delighted to announce that three A Leve Lawl students at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Dolgellau have recently been awarded a place on the Lord Edmund Davies Legal Education Trust's LEDLET scheme.

Tesni Hughes and Matthew Phelps will get a taste of the legal profession through the Summer School Scheme, and Efa Hughes has been offered a place on the legal mentoring scheme.#

The Lord Edmund Davies Legal Education Trust, or LEDLET for short, is an independent charity established in 2013 to serve young people living in Wales or having a connection with Wales who are interested in entering the legal profession. The charity is run by a team of trustees from a diverse range of legal backgrounds, all with connections to Wales. In particular, LEDLET was founded with the aim of ensuring that no one in society would conclude that their background would prevent them from entering the law.

Louise Harding, Lecturer in Law, A-Level Department, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Dolgellau said.

“We are very proud of the success of our students, this scheme by Lord Edmund Davies Legal Education Trust is a highly regarded scheme, and a particularly good start for those lucky enough to be selected at for the scheme. ”

“Tesni, Matthew and Eve's dedication to the course is a testament that hard work pays off, being selected on this scheme is not small play. Well done you."
