Derbynyddion poblogaidd Coleg y Rhyl yn mynd ar drywydd anturiaethau newydd

Mae dwy boblogaidd iawn fu'n gweithio fel derbynyddion yng Ngholeg y Rhyl - wnaeth ddechrau eu swyddi wythnos ar ôl ei gilydd bron i 20 mlynedd yn ôl - wedi dweud ffarwel wrth staff a myfyrwyr yn ddiweddar, cyn symud ymlaen i'w pennod nesaf.

Mae Margaret Kennedy a Val Wright wedi gweithio yng nghampws y Rhyl Coleg Llandrillo am 18.5 mlynedd. Bydd colled enfawr ar ôl y ddwy hwyliog a llawen gan holl gymuned Coleg y Rhyl.

Mae Margaret yn symud i'r Alban i fod yn agosach at ei theulu, tra bydd Val yn ymddeol gyda'i gŵr Steve, a oedd yn ofalwr yng Ngholeg y Rhyl yn ddiweddar, yn dilyn gweithio yn nifer o gampysau Grŵp Llandrillo Menai dros gyfnod o 12 mlynedd.

Dywedodd Margaret: "Hoffwn ddiolch i bawb rydw i wedi gweithio gyda nhw dros y blynyddoedd, yn ddiweddar ac yn y gorffennol. Rydw i wedi mwynhau fy nghyfnod yma yn fawr ac wedi gwneud llu o ffrindiau y byddaf yn parhau i gadw mewn cysylltiad â nhw. Er fy mod i'n dychwelyd i'r Alban, bydd Cymru yn ail gartref i mi am byth... Hwyl fawr!"

Mae Val yn edrych ymlaen at deithio (pan fydd cyfyngiadau'n caniatáu) ac mae wedi trefnu gwyliau i Japan fis Mawrth nesaf. Dywedodd: "Hoffwn ddiolch i fy nghydweithwyr a ffrindiau presennol a gorffennol am yr holl atgofion hapus fydd gen i."

Margaret Kennedy and Val Wright have each worked at Coleg Llandrillo’s Rhyl campus for eighteen and a half years. The fun-loving stalwarts will both be sorely missed by the whole of the Rhyl College community.

Margaret is moving to Scotland to be closer to her family, whilst Val will be retiring alongside her husband Steve, who was latterly a caretaker at Rhyl College, before previously working at several of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s campuses over a 12-year period.

Margaret said: "I would like to thank everyone, both past and present, who I have worked with over the years. I have enjoyed my time tremendously and have made many friends who I will continue to keep in touch with. Although I am returning to Scotland, Wales will always be my second home…Hwyl Fawr!”

Val is looking forward to travelling more (when restrictions allow) and has a holiday to Japan booked for next March. She said: “I would like to thank my colleagues and friends past and present for all the happy memories that I will take with me."
