    Job Purpose -

The Post Holder will hold the local Estates lead role (under the Estates Manager) for Planned & Reactive Maintenance work across the Grwp Llandrillo Menai (GLLM) “Eastern Sites” – specifically at :

    Rhos-on-Sea Campus

    Rhyl Campus

    Abergele Campus

    Denbigh Campus

    Colwyn Bay Library

The post holder will be required to attend at all of these sites as required, as the work dictates.

Key to this role will be close liaison, proactive communication, & co-ordination with college managers, staff and contractors at these Sites.

Equally key will be close proactive liaison with other Estates Staff as well as with our framework contractors.

The post holder may from time to time be required to work from other sites, and/or to cover for other Estates staff at other sites within GLLM, for short periods of time (i.e. sickness, holidays etc.) - principally at either Bangor or Llangefni - but potentially also at other smaller sites across Gwynedd, Conwy & Denbighshire.

The post will from time-to-time require early or late working to fit in with contractors’ or college schedules, for which either TOIL or overtime would be available as agreed.

The post will require full-time cover and due to the nature of the business, the need to ensure maintenance/building work does not conflict with the presence of students, means the busiest periods for maintenance/contractors will invariably be during the designated holiday periods.   Holiday leave during designated holiday periods may be restricted, needs to be agreed with the Estates Manager and planned in advance.
