Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and Snowdonia Hospitality & Leisure Ltd Sign Landmark Agreement to Boost North Wales Tourism and Hospitality Sector
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and Snowdonia Hospitality & Leisure Ltd have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership to strengthen the hospitality and tourism economy in north Wales.
The agreement, signed on Monday June 23rd, outlines a shared commitment to creating pathways into employment through apprenticeships, work-based learning, and community engagement initiatives.
The partnership will support the ambitions of the Tourism Talent Network, a project led by Grwp Llandrillo Menai aimed at fostering skills, sustainability and innovation within the local tourism sector and supported by Ambition North Wales through the North Wales Growth Deal
Snowdonia Hospitality & Leisure Limited, a family-owned hospitality business operating renowned establishments such as the Royal Oak Hotel - where the agreement was signed -The Stables Lodge, Y Stablau, and the Waterloo Hotel in Betws-y-Coed, will work closely with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s employer engagement arm, Busnes@LlandrilloMenai, to deliver real-world training opportunities for learners.

Key areas of collaboration will include:
● Delivery of apprenticeships and professional training on-site at Snowdonia Hospitality & Leisure Limited properties;
● Engagement with schools and SMEs to promote careers in hospitality and tourism;
● Joint efforts to champion sustainable practices and local supply chains;
● Co-hosted events and workshops to foster sector-wide collaboration and innovation.

The MoU takes effect immediately and will remain in place for the next ten years, aligning with wider regional goals, including those of the North Wales Growth Deal and Regional Skills Partnership objectives.
