Due to continued growth, the firm has a superb opportunity available for a Trainee Accountant to join the expanding team.
The Role
As an ambitious and driven Trainee Accountant, you’ll be assisting our experienced accounting team in delivering outstanding levels of service to a diverse portfolio of accounts, audit, and taxation clients. You’ll be joining our successful AAT Training Programme, helping you navigate your AAT exams whilst gaining valuable real-life experiences to complement your studies.
Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:
- Processing financial information in Xero, and other accounting software
- Making year/period end adjustments in accounting software
- Preparing accounts for review using our internal work programmes
- Liaising with clients on accounting queries
- Assisting with business and personal tax computations
- Assisting with VAT Returns, CIS Returns, and payroll processing
- Carrying out audit testing as part of an audit team
- Supporting the directors and other team members, as required
Our Requirements
To be considered for this Trainee Accountant role, you must:
- have a high level of attention to detail, with accurate data entry skills
- have excellent numeracy skills
- be able to communicate effectively, written and verbally
- have solid IT literacy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service, and be willing to go above and beyond to deliver
Although not essential, the ability to communicate in Welsh would be advantageous for this role.
