Course Description

The purpose of this three hour course is to support assessors to enhance their use of the Welsh language with learners in the workplace.

Entry Criteria

The course is aimed at assessors working with bilingual individuals. The course is suitable for both Welsh and non-Welsh speaking staff.


Learners who undertake this course will:

  • Explore a variety of practical methods and techniques to develop bilingualism with learners in the workplace
  • Discuss Estyn's requirements in order to plan a high quality assessment programme for the bilingual learner
  • Take part in a workshop to identify key terms and subject specific vocabulary to expand the use of the Welsh language
  • Have the opportunity to reflect and plan in order to develop bilingualism with learners.
