World's Largest Cosmetics Company Rolls into College

Representatives from the world’s largest cosmetics company invited Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Hairdressing students to take part in an exclusive event: a day of celebration and hair and make-up artistry, including a screening of this year’s L'Oréal Colour Trophy grand final.

The L'Oréal Future Talent Watch Party – one of only five held across the UK – provided Hairdressing students from across Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s three colleges - Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor – with a wide range of tutorials, live demos, and eagerly anticipated goody bags!

Guest artist on the day was ex-Coleg Llandrillo Hairdressing student Ashley Graham. He returned to his former college just months after his stylish creations for a range of global brands lit up the catwalks at the New York, Paris and London fashion weeks!

The college event also included a screening of this year’s glitzy L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final which was held in London. This prestigious, global competition – which began in the 1950s - enables hair professionals to showcase their talent and creativity and be in with the chance of winning amazing prizes.

Held at the Rhos-on-Sea campus, the mini roadshow also aimed to spotlight future talent by encouraging learners to enter the L'Oréal Colour Trophy competition’s new student category: LCT Future Talent.

The new category is an eagerly anticipated addition to the annual extravaganza, which has been one of the most illustrious competitions within the world of hairdressing for over six decades. College students can enter the LCT Future Talent category, which secures the winner with a high-profile mentor from within the hairdressing industry.
