Glynllifon Life and Work Skills students get ready for Christmas

With Christmas fast approaching, students on the Life and Work Skills course at Coleg Glynllifon have been very busy getting the college ready for the festive celebrations.

Students from the Life and Work Skills department, with help from staff and students from the Forestry department, picked a tree that had grown on the college estate. Choosing the best tree was difficult, but after some discussion, a tree was chosen that will now stand proud in college for the next few weeks.

To decorate the tree, the students then went on a shopping trip to buy decorations.

Cara Jones, a member of staff at the Pathways for Life and Work course at Glynllifon, said.

"It is extremely important that we as a department celebrate Christmas by placing responsibility on our students to organise and to be at the centre of all decision making. The process of getting down to the forestry department and choosing a tree, before going shopping for decorations is an extremely important part of our work in building the confidence of our students. ”

She added:

“The Christmas period is very special in our department, the students look forward to it every year. Merry Christmas to you.”
