Course Description

This course is designed for a wide variety of students who are interested in further developing skills in cake decoration and sugar craft as either vocational study or personal interest. There is an awarding body registration fee payable (approx £60).

You will learn how to produce celebration cakes using a variety of techniques:

  • Royal Icing Coating and piped work/decoration
  • Collars
  • Sugar Paste Coating
  • Modelling
  • Novelty Cake
  • Wired and non wired Flowers
  • Design and Theory

Entry Criteria

Cake Decoration Level 1

You will be required to wear a Chef jacket and hat to class.

Delivery

You will learn how to carry out the techniques by watching demonstrations and having hands-on, practical sessions.
