Course Description

This course is designed for a wide variety of students who are interested in developing skills in cake decoration and sugar craft as either vocational study or personal interest. There is an awarding body registration fee payable (approx £60).

You will learn how to produce celebration cakes using a variety of techniques:

  • Royal Icing Coating and Piping
  • Lettering
  • Runouts
  • Stencilling
  • Piped Flowers
  • Sugar Paste Coating
  • Embossing and Crimping
  • Modelling
  • Design and Theory
  • Cupcakes and Cookies

Entry Criteria

There are no formal entry requirements.

You will be required to wear a white lab style coat or chef's jacket to class.

Delivery

You will study by hands-on practical sessions and demonstrations.

Assessment

Practical assessment and portfolio building.
