Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Marks 30 Years in Pwllheli

Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor’s Pwllheli site is celebrating 30 years since its first learners began their studies in the Autumn of 1993.

The celebrations will kick off next week at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s stand at the National Eisteddfod in Boduan (stand 317-320), on Saturday the 12th of August.

Between 2pm-4pm, current and past students are invited to join in on a tea and cake event to share memories and catch up with old friends.

Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Chief Executive, Dafydd Evans, will also say a few words.

Aled Jones-Griffith, Principal of Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, said,

Since 1993, almost 15,000 young people have taken advantage of an excellent education at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, and the college has a prestigious community of alumni including poets, singers, engineers, broadcasters, scientists and many more, proving that world-class education is available in a rural corner of Wales.
