Multiply for Individual Learners

Are you looking to boost your career prospects, or just want to increase your numeracy confidence and improve your general quality of life? The Multiply Project has supported hundreds of learners like you across North Wales.

Do you feel that your confidence with maths is holding you back? Don’t worry, you are not alone! Recent surveys show that 49% of adults feel unconfident when using numbers in everyday life.

That’s why the Multiply Project is offering FREE support to those who want to improve their numeracy skills.

Whether you want to boost your employment prospects, upskill for promotion, get back into education or improve your general wellbeing - we can help.

Learners must be aged 19+ and live in Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd or Anglesey.

Courses for everyone
No matter what your level of numeracy is, we can help increase your confidence with numbers.

For example, we have supported learners who have not engaged with maths since leaving school and would consider their ability level to be low. We have also supported people who consider their skills to be more advanced, but just need that extra bit of support to achieve their goals.

Flexibility of delivery
We understand that life can be hectic, which is why we are able to deliver courses at times and locations most convenient to our learners. Courses or 1:1 support can be held locally to you at community venues, libraries or college campuses and we can also offer online sessions for those who require this.

The project so far
Examples of courses we have ran for learners in Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey include:

  • Budgeting
  • Saving money on food shops
  • Numbers involved in car mechanics
  • DIY numbers
  • Crafts
  • Numbers and cooking
  • Help your child with maths
  • Running your own business
  • Number puzzles and games
  • Numbers in photography
  • Understanding payslips
  • Maths for Teaching Assistants.

This list is not exhaustive and we can build bespoke support based on your needs and future aspirations.

Formal qualifications
Multiply can also provide FREE tutoring for those who wish to obtain a formal mathematics qualification, such as a GCSE or the Application of Number - a GCSE equivalent administered by Essential Skills Wales. Exam registration costs are also covered by Multiply.

Gaining a formal mathematics qualification opens up a wide range of employment, education and training opportunities and our expert tutors can also help you decide which qualification is best for you.
