The Team Leading (Level 2) and Management (Level 3) Apprenticeships have been designed to provide a flexible and portable qualification which meets the current and future needs of employers of all sizes and across all sectors.
The Level 2 Team Leading Foundation Apprenticeship provides an insight into the principles and processes of leading teams as a:
- Team leader
- Section leader
- Floor manager
- Help desk manager
- Trainee supervisor or
- Team coordinator
The Level 3 Management Apprenticeship has been developed to support those working in a range of management positions such as:
- First line manager
- Section manager
- Assistant manager
- Trainee manager or
- Senior supervisor
Tasks undertaken will be tailored to the sector and workplace and may include:
- Planning, allocating and monitoring the team’s work
- Briefing teams and giving feedback
- Supporting team members
- Managing conflict and resolving problems
- Procurement
- Project management
- Agreeing budgets
- Managing and improving customer service
Entry Criteria
- All apprentices must have an employer who can cover the NVQ criteria.
- All places are subject to satisfactory interview.
- Applicants for the Level 2 Team Leading apprenticeship cannot hold a degree.
Delivery
Attendance of college-based sessions to complete theory tasks and tests may be required' not 'essential.
Assessment
- Completion of a portfolio of evidence
- Work based observations
- Theory based tasks and tests
Progression
You can progress from Level 2 to Level 3 to Level 4 and then Level 5 (dependant on job role).
