Course Description

Anyone wishing to carry out work on domestic oil-fired installations but who has limited previous experience and/or no qualifications

Entry Criteria

Applicants for this course MUST obtain experience with an OFTEC registered business and provide auditable evidence of this experience (a combination of written reports, copies of OFTEC (or equivalent) installation/commissioning/servicing records and photos taken whilst the work is being carried out).

Anyone undertaking this course must have basic plumbing skills. A knowledge of heating systems will also be highly advantageous

Assessment

There is no formal assessment for the OFTEC 50 course.

However, upon successful completion of the exercises set during the course, candidates will be able to undertake any of the relevant oil assessments
