OFTEC- Technical Manual
This is a practical course designed for those who are either new to commissioning or servicing pressure-jet oil appliances or who have previously held the qualification but wish to update their skills and knowledge.
This course is designed to provide operatives with an up-to-date refreshment of regulations and take the operative through the correct procedures for combustion analysis and commissioning/servicing of pressure jet oil appliances
OFTEC-101 is required for any operative wishing to carry out work on domestic pressure jet appliances and covers
- – Codes of practice
- – Safe electrical isolation
- – Practical boiler commissioning
- – Burner servicing
- – Identifying installation faults
- – Identifying and rectifying boiler/burner faults
- – Combustion analysis
- – Combustion theory
- – Ventilation requirements

Candidates undertaking this course must either be experienced oil operatives, or GAS SAFE registered heating system operatives
All delegates are required to bring their original certificates (OFTEC 101) and four passport sized photographs with them on the first day, failure to provide these may lead to not being able to continue with the training on the day.
