Course Description
This course is aimed at those who are working within a school setting in a supervised capacity, or for those who want to work in schools in a role such as Teaching Assistant.
Entry Criteria
- Successful completion of the Introduction to being a Classroom Assistant course and/or recent long term experience of working in a school.
- Strong Level 1/equivalent literacy skills.
You will also need to be working within a school or volunteering within a school setting.
Delivery
This level 2 qualification is delivered predominantly in college via taught sessions, practical activities and tutorials, whilst also undertaking a 2-day work placement in a school.
Assessment
The units within this qualification require both written knowledge in the form of a portfolio of work and the assessment of skills via direct observation whilst on work placement in a school.
