Course Description

The qualification is designed for senior / strategic leaders and managers seeking to

sharpen their strategic leadership capability, enabling them to deliver successful

outcomes for their organisation.

As part of the course, you will choose a specific critical complex issue related to your

role within your own organisation. You will research the issue , evaluate evidence

and identify a solution to move your organisation forward.

That could be leading people through organisational change, new ways of working or

other challenges in the wider environment.

You will be supported on the course by a personal tutor

Entry Criteria

There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will:

● Be working as a senior leader within the organisation

● Have a sufficient level of Basic Skills, Literacy and Numeracy and IT skills in

order to benefit fully from the programme

● Have the support of their employers, with or without sponsorship

All places are subject to satisfactory interview / attendance at an online awareness

session.

Delivery

The course is delivered over 12 teaching sessions spread over a period of approximately 6 months. The first and last sessions are delivered onsite at our

St Asaph / Llanelwy Business park location with the remaining sessions delivered online over zoom.

The course is tutor led through a blend of scheduled sessions comprising the following:

● Online and Face to Face Classes

● Action learning sets (group and individual)

● Professional discussions

● Case studies

● Presentations

● Self assessments

● Directed personal study

● 1-2-1 personal Tutorial sessions

You will also have access to a virtual learning environment (Moodle) where all your learning resources are, which will fully support you throughout your studies.

Please note a laptop/computer, microphone, camera and internet access are required for this programme.

Assessment

The course is assessed through a blend of the following:

● Work-based assignments

● Portfolio of evidence and findings

● Reflective reviews

● A final presentation outlining the Impact of your work

Progression

You will develop your professional practice as a senior leader.

At the end of the course, your course tutor will have a discussion with you about the

appropriate next steps, which could include further professional courses or one of

our short courses available at our St.Asaph location.
