Course Description

This programme provides you with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in a variety of Electrical or Electronic Engineering roles, in both the service and manufacturing industries.

The course is practical and work-related, and you will learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations. The qualification is valued by both employers and universities, and will prepare you for both professional and educational progress.

Entry Criteria

In order to qualify for this course you will need at least one of the following:

  • 5 GCSEs A*- C including 1st Language English or Welsh and Mathematics or Numeracy and a Science subject. Preferably a Grade B in Mathematics (Higher Tier)
  • Successfully completed Engineering Level 2

As part of the application process you will be asked to attend an interview.

Welsh Baccalaureate is a valuable qualification which is often studied alongside your Level 3 full-time course.

The qualification is graded A*-E, carrying the equivalent UCAS points at Level 3, and equips you with transferable personal and business skills. It is highly regarded by universities and employers alike.

As part of the qualification, you will learn about Global Citizenship, Enterprise and Employability and take part in community engagement and work experience.

Essential Skills

This may include a combination of Application of Number, Communication, Digital Literacy and Essential Employability Skills
