Course Description
This course is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts who want to handle basic plumbing repairs without calling out a professional. Whether you're looking to fix a leak or plumb in a new appliance, this is a practical, entry-level introduction.
What to expect: A hands-on workshop focused on practical skills. You’ll spend less time on theory and more time using tools, ensuring you leave with the confidence to tackle your own projects safely.
At Dolgellau you will study:
- Copper Pipework: Mastering the basics of measuring, cutting, and soldering joints.
- Plastic Pipework: Understanding modern push-fit and compression systems.
- General Maintenance: Essential DIY tasks, such as fixing taps and managing common household plumbing issues.
At Rhos-on-Sea you will study:
- Health & Safety unit
- Copper bending, soldering and use of different fittings.
- Fabrication of different frames using different types of pipe.
- Taking off and reinstalling water filled radiators.
- Guttering installation.
- Tap and WC repairs.
