Course Description

This course is suitable for you if you are working in any of the following industries:

  • Arboriculture
  • Forestry
  • Woodland industries
  • Local authorities
  • Conservation

This course is intended if you are already experienced in climbing trees using work-positioning systems and those who are experienced in chainsaw use, including felling small trees up to 380mm.

Topics covered include the identification, inspection and preparation of key parts of the equipment to ensure safe usage and operation of a chainsaw whilst using a rope and harness.

Entry Criteria

  • You must have completed the Chainsaw Maintenance and Operation qualification
  • You must be physically fit and not suffer from vertigo or similar conditions, or be on medication that could affect your safety

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.
