Course Description
The Award in Barista Skills is for people who work as or want to work as a Barista within any environment, such as restaurants, café's and hotels. This is a City and Guilds level 2 Course and as such standards will be followed during delivery. This course is suited to inexperienced Baristas or those wanting to gain a recognised qualification in the skill. Coffee art is not part of this course.
With this qualification, you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to prepare and serve hot and cold drinks in any environment. There are four learning outcomes to this unit:
- Be able to demonstrate product knowledge
- Be able to clean and check equipment
- Be able to display drink building techniques
- Be able to serve customers
