A group of apprentices from REHAU Ltd recently celebrated completing Apprenticeships in Polymer Processing Operations with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Centre of Skills Infrastructure and Technology (CIST), successfully overcoming the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic.

A group of apprentices from REHAU Ltd recently celebrated completing Apprenticeships in Polymer Processing Operations with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Centre of Skills Infrastructure and Technology (CIST), successfully overcoming the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic.

Christopher McPhail, Training Officer at REHAU Ltd was delighted with his colleagues’ achievements. He said:

“Dyfed, David and Celfyn have all worked extremely hard over the last 18 months to achieve the diploma. This included collating technical portfolios which were then assessed to a national industry standard.

“REHAU is expanding so quickly after lockdown there was an immediate need for more skills on the production lines. All 3 candidates have since been rewarded with full time production operator roles with Rehau”

Glenn Williams, Development Officer at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai added:

“This course has come to fruition via an industry partnership approach to delivery and assessment. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners for their collaboration during the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic which enabled the 100% pass rate for this first cohort of candidates on the Diploma in Polymer Processing in Wales.”
