Why choose us?

More Choice

We offer over 30 AS/A Level courses, delivered by highly-qualified and experienced tutors. With such a wide range of choice available, you can be sure to find the right subjects for you.

You will also study the Welsh Baccalaureate – which counts as a full A Level qualification, and offers valuable UCAS points to progress onto university study.

At the Bangor Campus, you could also combine studying for 2 A-levels alongside a BTEC in Law. The BTEC is equivalent to an A-level and the course involves both internal and external assessments. The course covers a range of topics including elements of criminal liability and some of the defenses available in criminal law. You will also study the tort of negligence and the remedies in place in civil law, alongside legal personnel and the workings of the different institutions found in the Anglo-welsh legal system.

More support

We take care of our students and want to ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your time studying with us! Your Personal Tutor will help you settle into college life and will plan and review your progress to ensure you reach your goals – whatever they may be.

We also provide advice, guidance and support on a range of issues through our friendly Learner Services’ Team, including: study support, careers advice, confidential counselling services, and financial matters.

The support I have received from all of my teachers at Rhyl Sixth has been exceptional. If at any point I needed help, I knew where to ask. If I struggled, my tutors were keen to ensure I stayed on-track. It was clear that everyone cared, an aspect I think truly allowed me to develop. Every tutor I have had has shaped the way I think, and I am truly thankful for all support received.
