Dolgellau A-level student selected as a member of the Welsh National Ambassador Steering Group for 2021-22

Llio Parry, an A-level Biology, Geography and Physical Education student has recently been selected as a member of the Welsh National Ambassador Steering Group for 2021-22.

Being selected recognises those who have made an outstanding contribution to the Young Ambassador programme, locally, regionally and nationally.

The National Steering Group for Wales recognises the very best Young Ambassadors across the country. The group meets five times a year, but continues to communicate regularly with each other throughout the year. The group has the opportunity to consult with Sport Wales, the Youth Sport Trust and other partners on new initiatives or ideas, and to represent the voice of young people.

They also organise and present the annual Golden Young Ambassadors national conference. Steering Group members receive additional training through the National Leadership Academy, which offers workshops in skills such as facilitation, networking, teamwork and communication.

“We are delighted to see Llio being chosen to be a member of this important group. This is further proof of Llio's dedication, and her hard work in recent months. ”

She added.

"Llio has also recently been selected for the Wales Cricket Under 18s squad and coaches and plays for Dolgellau Cricket Club and has received support from the Robin Memorial Fund. We extend our congratulations to Llio. Well done you."

Llio Parry said.

“Sport has always been a big part of my life. It's really nice to take on different responsibilities, where I can help the community and work with people from different backgrounds.”
