Course Description

The Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management is ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities.

It particularly supports practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people though organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

You can choose to study at either our Bangor campus, or at the Management Centre in Bangor University.

Entry Criteria

There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will:

Be working as a first line manager or looking for management work
Have a sufficient level of Basic Skills, Literacy and Numeracy, in order to benefit fully from the programme
Have the support of their employers, with or without sponsorship
Complete the Level 3 Award and Certificate modules as part of the Diploma, if applicable.

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.

Progression

Completion of this course allows you to progress in education and in employment. If you already hold a management position, the course helps you to be an effective and efficient manager. You will develop your professional practice and may be able to work towards promotion into middle management.

Within education, the logical progression is to complete the ILM Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management which helps equip you for middle management responsibilities. This could be followed by the Level 5 programme at Award, Certificate and Diploma level in Leadership and Management at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.
