Grŵp Llandrillo Menai is committed to ensuring that all 16-18-year-olds can attend the course they choose at Coleg Llandrillo campuses.

Conwy and Denbighshire provide free bus transport to your nearest campus if you:

  • live in the county boroughs of Conwy or Denbighshire
  • are in full-time, further education
  • live more than three miles from your nearest college campus
  • are under 19 years of age on 1st September of the academic year you are attending

If you live in Conwy or Denbighshire, and your Local Authority cannot support you to attend the campus you want to, we will do everything we can to ensure you are able to get to college.

If you live in Conwy:

From September 2025, Conwy’s transport policies have changed.

All Conwy students (returning students and new students) who meet the above criteria must apply directly to the local authority via this link for free college transport.

You will need to show your bus pass to travel on the bus from the first day you attend college.

If you don’t meet the criteria, or have not received your bus pass by August 26, please contact Lynda Roberts at transport@gllm.ac.uk or 01492 546 666 ext 1410 as soon as possible.

Please read the Conwy Council travel policy as well as A Guide to Free School & College Transport for Post 16 Learners Living in Conwy.

If you live in Denbighshire and are travelling to Rhos-on-Sea Campus:

Bus passes will be issued during enrolment for all full-time students in Denbighshire who are under 19 and live more than three miles from their nearest campus.

During the first week of college, you will still be able to get on your bus if you have not yet received your pass (see below for timetables). Once you have received your pass, you will need to show it at the start of each journey. Bus passes are only valid for the stop specified on the pass.

If you live in Denbighshire and are travelling to Rhyl Campus:

Arriva M Activation Codes will be issued for all full-time students in Denbighshire who are under 19 and live more than three miles from their nearest campus.

Please make your own way to Rhyl campus on the first day of college. Prior to your first day in college, download the Arriva bus app to your mobile phone. You will need an Arriva M Activation Code to activate your app; this will be issued during enrolment. Once activated, you will then be able to travel to and from campus to the nearest stop to your home address without charge.

If you’re over 19 or live outside of Conwy or Denbighshire you will have to make your own transport arrangements. For further information contact Lynda Roberts or 01492 546 666 ext 1410 at transport@gllm.ac.uk

Buses are arranged by the Local Authority. Times shown below may be subject to change. Please check for updates.
