The Welsh-medium video conferencing provision complements Sgiliaith’s core mission in that it combines the principle of extending curriculum provision in Welsh or bilingually, through the medium of Welsh and English, with innovative delivery.

We use a video link with flexible options such as Chrome Box or Skype in order to ensure that the technology is suited to your needs.
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor and Sgiliaith are very glad to have been chosen as winners of the Jisc sponsored Association of Colleges’ Beacon Award for the Effective Use of Technology in FE for our Welsh-medium and Bilingual A Level Teaching and Learning Platform during 2013-14. This is a UK-wide recognised award where the effective use of technology has had a significant impact on learning and has resulted in a more efficient implementation of the curriculum through innovative approaches to teaching.
The Offer
The provision is offered at a price of £738.32 per student based on 10 to 12 students in a group with a multi-link option (up to three schools or colleges with five annual visits).
We also offer access to Moodle and Google Classroom, presence at parents’ evenings, contribution to the writing of school reports, and support with UCAS applications.
