Course Description

The purpose of this course is to support assessors to enhance their use of the Welsh language with learners in the workplace.

This course can be delivered to a college or work-based learning organisation, or tailored to a specific subject area. Contact Sgiliaith to discuss further.

Entry Criteria

The course is aimed at assessors in the FE and apprenticeship sector, working with bilingual individuals. The course is suitable for both Welsh and non-Welsh speaking staff.

Delivery

Learners who undertake this course will:

  • Explore a variety of practical methods and techniques to develop bilingualism with learners in the workplace;
  • Take part in a workshop to identify key terms and subject-specific vocabulary to expand the use of the Welsh language;
  • Have the opportunity to reflect and plan in order to develop bilingualism with learners.

Progression

Sgiliaith’s National Staff Development Programme provides innovative training and mentoring programme to staff in the further education and apprenticeships sectors.
