Hosted by Coleg Llandrillo at its Rhos-on-Sea Campus from 20-23 February in 2017, the championships are designed to celebrate the nation's culinary skills and rich variety of quality food. The popular event is packed with exciting competitions for learner, junior and senior chefs and waiting staff.
Other major attractions include the Junior Chef of Wales Final on Monday 20 February, the National Chef of Wales final on Thursday 23 February, and a Cake Cymru show for sugarcraft and cake decorating competitors.
Battle for the Dragon 2017
The championships are organised by the Culinary Association of Wales with sponsorship from the Welsh Government.
A highlight is the prestigious Battle for the Dragon contest. This year, three teams from Wales, Austria and Italy will do battle in the heat of the kitchen over three days, with each challenged to cook a three-course meal for 90 people under the watchful eyes of a panel of international judges.
