Children’s Care, Play, Learning & Development
Build your foundation in childcare with the Level 2 Core Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development by gaining the essential theory and understanding that employers value.

This course is perfect for those looking to enter the childcare sector and who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of the core principles and values which underpin children's care, play, learning and development practice.

On completion of the Level 2 Core qualification there will be opportunity to progress to the Level 2 and Level 3 Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development Practice qualification.

Where you will put what you have learnt while completing the Core qualification into practice and gain a full qualification with competency to practice at any childcare setting.

Health & Social Care (Adults)
The core element is theory-based and so is aimed at those either already working in the sector or those wanting to develop a career within the Health & Social Care sector. This will include those working in residential settings, nursing settings, mental health settings and learning disability settings to name a few.

On successful completion of the core element then it is possible to progress to the practical element of the qualification thus enabling an individual to gain the full Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.

Playwork
The Level 2 Playwork qualification is a competence-based qualification for practitioners working under supervision with children aged 4-16. It requires a mandatory work placement and assesses skills through a portfolio covering playwork principles, safety, and child-centered practice.

It covers the knowledge and skills needed when working under supervision and requires the learner to demonstrate the full application of knowledge and understanding over a period in the workplace.

Supporting Teaching & Learning
Our Supporting Teaching and Learning courses give you the knowledge and skills required to meet the support needs of primary, secondary and special needs schools. Achieving one of the qualifications demonstrates your ability to help support pupil welfare, care, behaviour and learning. Competency will be assessed by your assessor at the school where you support along with providing knowledge evidence as part of your assessments.

Depending on the level you choose, you'll cover things like supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and ICT tasks in the classroom. Promoting positive behaviour, supporting pupils using information and communication technology and supporting pupils with their overall development. You will also learn about Safeguarding pupils and ensuring their Health and Safety at all times.

Leadership and Management in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development
Ready to step into leadership in childcare or early-years settings? The Level 4 Preparing for Leadership & Management in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development course gives you strategic skills to lead teams and support practice.

This qualification is knowledge-based and is for experienced staff who wish to develop their leadership potential in order to progress to a leadership and management role within the Childcare sector. Being knowledge based, learners can complete this qualification before they have attained a leadership role.
