September Starts

  • When do first years start college in September?

    All applicants that have been accepted on to a course will receive an e-mail inviting them to attend an Induction.

    The Induction for first year learners takes place on different days and starts from Tuesday, 1st September.

    Please read your college e-mails for the latest information.

  • When do second year learners return to college in September?

    All learners that are progressing to their second year of their programme e.g. AS to A2, Certificate to Diploma will receive information on the exact start date week commencing Monday, 7th September 2020. We will send the information to your college e-mail account.

  • I don’t have access to a laptop or computer at home. How will I be able to learn from home?

    Learners who do not have access to a PC at home, can apply to the Learning Support Fund to request either a chrome book or laptop. The grant is means tested and you will be asked to provide evidence of your household income.

  • Will I be able to buy food on site?

    A 'grab and go' food facility is offered at college sites. Water fountains are available however you will need to bring your own drinking bottle/cup. You may prefer to bring your own food and drinks.

  • Will I be able to access the Library and Study Centres?

    Yes. The Library and Study Centres will be open and available for learners to use with social distancing measures in place.

  • Will welfare support services be available to me?

    Yes. All college support services will be available on campus. This includes Mentors, Learning Coach, Student Advisors and Counsellors. All of our services can also be accessed remotely by phone, email or digitally, giving you more flexibility. Visit eDRAC Learner for more information.
