Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor Student Celebrates Triple Medal Success at Special Olympics
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor is celebrating the achievements of Independent Living Skills (ILS) student Bethan Griffiths who returned from the Special Olympics in Birmingham with a complete set of medals.
Representing Wales on the national stage this summer, the Dolgellau-campus student delivered an outstanding performance across three events. Bethan secured the Gold medal in the 100m sprint, followed up with a Silver medal in the Soft Ball Throw, and completed her impressive hat-trick by taking home a Bronze medal in the Relay.
Bethan's tutor, Morfudd, shared the department's pride in her accomplishment:
"As staff at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Dolgellau, we are extremely proud of Bethan's achievements in winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals at the Special Olympics in Birmingham. Her hard work and determination have certainly paid off, and we can't wait to see what she will achieve next!"
Congratulations Bethan, what a fantastic result!
