Elizabeth Achieves Lecturer Excellence with L’Oréal

The Coleg Llandrillo Hairdressing Lecturer is now among a select group of UK educators qualified to deliver the industry-recognised Colour Keys 1 certification, bringing cutting-edge colour expertise back to our hairdressing learners.

Elizabeth’s course meant that she travelled monthly to the L’Oréal Academy in London to undertake advanced training alongside other lecturers from across the UK, taking on Colour Keys 1 and successfully completing a challenging programme at Academy.

It was an opportunity that Elizabeth feels has significantly contributed to her professional development as a lecturer and means she is now able to partner with L’Oréal in the delivery of Colour Keys 1 to learners within the hairdressing programme across the Grẅp.

Elizabeth said: “This has been a challenging yet highly rewarding journey. The experience has enhanced my industry knowledge and strengthened my teaching practice, allowing me to bring the latest professional standards and techniques directly into the classroom.”

The experience also saw Elizabeth take Coleg Llandrillo learners with her on a trip to London to help them benefit from exposure to the industry and learning opportunities alongside her own learning journey.

“I am proud to be one of only 12 lecturers in the UK qualified to deliver the L’Oréal Colour Keys 1 certification to college learners. This is a respected, industry-recognised qualification that supports students in developing essential colour knowledge and practical skills valued within the hairdressing industry,” said Elizabeth.
