Students at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor's Pwllheli campus have created a newsletter for those interested in pursuing advanced medical studies.

It was created by year 12 students with an interest in medicine to provide information on the latest medical issues, including all the general information needed to create a strong application for university medicine courses.

Wendy Hinchey, English lecturer (enrichment co-ordinator) at the college's Pwllheli campus, said.

"We are very proud of our students' work on this important project. For me, this kind of co-operative education - where students educate each other - is extremely important to the educational development of young people."

She added.

"The newsletter is aimed at those students who are interested in pursuing advanced courses in medical fields, but it is of interest to anyone with an interest in science more generally. The newsletter is full of useful information."

Bryn Hughes-Parry, CMD Assistant Principal said

"Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor has a long and honourable history of nurturing students into higher education courses in medical fields: many doctors, nurses, dentists have studied at the college with us. This newsletter is a very important addition to our provision here at the college, created and led by some of our students. I would like to thank Ffion Elisabeth Wood, Cadi Prydderch Davies, Sam Harold Bowers and Caio Rhys Roberts for their work."
