A Coleg Llandrillo cleaner took the plunge and shaved off her hair, raising over £400 for a cancer charity in the process.
Debbie Moule, who has been a cleaner at the college's Rhyl campus for 11 years, explained more:
I had always had fairly long hair, but I was going grey and didn't want to continue to dye my hair any more.
Then I saw the 'Brave the Shave' campaign on the TV and decided that this was an excellent opportunity to do it and raise money for such an important cause. The response has been brilliant; my neighbour didn't even recognise me!
Debbie, who has lived in Rhyl for over 20 years, supported the national 'Brave the Shave' initiative in aid of the MacMillan Cancer Support charity.
In a break from her duties, Debbie added:
My goal was to raise £300 in an online campaign, which I eventually achieved. But, staff and students from the college's Rhyl Sixth centre raised another £100 to add to the pot, which was brilliant.
