A team of dedicated staff from Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor's Glynllifon campus have been busy preparing for this year's Royal Welsh Show and will be making their way down to Builth Wells to their stand located on aisle E366 from 24-27 July 2017.

The College's marketing trailer has been packed up with prospectuses, information leaflets and marketing goodies as well as several free and exciting activities which will be on offer during the course of the Show, including the chance to speak to Glynllifon students direct to get the real story from them firsthand!  Anglesey's Caitlin Jones, who recently appeared on BBC's Countryfile programme and who was voted Learner of the Year 2017 at Glynllifon's Achiever Awards, will be one of those students; as will Cain Owen also from Anglesey.

There will also be a chance to win some Glynllifon t-shirts and hoodies each day, with a photography competition which asks the public to post photos on Facebook representing what the show means to them, using the hashtag #FySioe and @meiriondwyfor.

A large electrical buzzer (like a giant 'Operation' game if you are old enough to remember that!) will allow the public to test their manual dexterity; whilst others can create masterpieces with an innovative 3-D pen.

Glynllifon's Assistant Principal Aled Jones-Griffith said:

Each year our staff really look forward to going down to the Royal Welsh Show in order to share information about the exciting state-of-the-art developments going on here at the college.  We don't just offer farming here at Glynllifon, we also offer Animal Care and Equine Studies, Engineering, Veterinary Nursing and Forestry and Countryside Management.

Coming to the Show is a great opportunity to network with the wider farming world, share knowledge and chat to familiar faces.

This year we are ringing the changes and taking some of our students down so that people can get a real feel for what it is like to be a student at the College, and do so from the horse's mouth as it were!

We look forward to meeting everyone and would encourage them to come and see us on stand E366.
