WORKBASED LEARNING INSTRUCTOR /ASSESSOR IN ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION, PART TIME HOURLY PAID, GLYNLLIFON

JOB PURPOSE - Responsible to the Land Based Studies Programme Area Manager. Work as a member of the Forestry and Countryside Management team to support and assess learners practical and portfolio work for them to achieve their NVQ/WBL Framework qualification. The post involves working with learners mainly within the workplace and to ensure that instructing and assessment is of a consistently high standard. The post involves travelling to different workplaces to meet with learners/employers. There will also be some assessing work within the college depending on the structure of the training programme.

By agreement with the Program Area Manager the Assessor may be asked to provide training and guidance to groups of learners undertaking practical activities as well as assessing their practical and portfolio work. Some of the work may involve a technical certificate for the framework, this element of the work will be paid at a lecturer's rate.

The Environmental Conservation apprenticeship framework covers a wide range of commercial activities which varies the assessor's work.
