Work Based Assessor – Childhood Studies, Term Time
Job Purpose
As an Assessor within the Childcare team at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Pwllheli, you will play an important role in the team delivering the Level 3 Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development: Practice and Theory qualification. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, ambitious and high-performing team that is committed to providing high-quality education and preparing learners for successful careers in the childcare sector. You will support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to succeed in the industry. The Childcare Assessor is responsible for the delivery of training, assessment and internal verification of learners’ work. The role supports full-time Further Education learners undertaking work placements across the local area, ensuring that the practical elements of their qualification are assessed in the workplace and that learners are able to demonstrate competence in line with qualification requirements. Working collaboratively alongside teaching staff, employers and wider Grŵp Llandrillo Menai colleagues, the Assessor monitors learner progress, conducts workplace observations, and provides guidance and support to enable learners to successfully complete their training and achieve their qualification. |
