Academic Researcher, HE and Welsh Language at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol to June 2022

Grŵp Llandrillo Menai has received a grant from the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol to conduct research into why more of the Grŵp's Higher Education students do not choose to study through the medium of Welsh.

The appointee will work closely with the HE Students' Union President and the Grŵp's Higher Education Manager to ascertain the current position with regard to Welsh language provision and the number of students choosing to study in Welsh. Then, through a series of interviews and focus groups, gather information about the barriers and reasons students have to choose not to study in Welsh.
