All students are welcome to use the college sports facilities available at the Bangor and Rhos-on- Sea campuses, regardless of where they study. You may need to book in advance to use the facilities, and there may be a charge. At Dolgellau and Pwllheli, students can use the facilities at the Leisure Centre in town on Wednesday afternoons.
A range of sports are on offer at the different campuses, including athletics, badminton, basketball, football, hockey, netball, rugby and squash. Promising athletes may be selected to play in college teams and perhaps to complete at a national level.
If you are interested in continuing with a sport at college, please discuss this with staff at the campus where you would like to study. It may be possible to study an academic or vocational course at one campus and to continue with your sport at another campus.
We have sports academies at our Bangor and Rhos-on- Sea campuses. These provide athletes in North Wales with the opportunity to study for A-levels or other Level 3 qualifications, whilst also improving their fitness and skills in football, rugby and other sports. Promising players may also be selected to play at regional or national level.
