• Support the implementation of the Academi Gofal in Gwynedd.
• Promote careers in Social Care across Adults and Children sectors
• Support individuals throughout their career journey. Be a point of contact for individuals in the
academy throughout their journey.
• Establish and maintain links with Schools, work based learning providers, Further and Higher Education establishments to promote careers in Social Care and to promote the scheme on an ongoing basis.
• Establish and maintain links with Careers Wales, DWP, Job Centres and other partners to
promote careers across the Social Care sector and the Academi Gofal.
• Coordinating with organisations that provide training to ensure that the quality of provision is maintained and that it meets the needs of the learners and the organisation e.g. The Open University, Glyndŵr and providers of Heath and Social Care qualifications.
• Co-work with the Council’s different Care services to identify work placements and to promote
different opportunities.

Gwynedd Council operates internally through the medium of Welsh, and offers all its services bilingually. The applicant will be required to reach the linguistic level noted as one of the essential skills in the Person Specification.
