Academy Degree Apprentice - Applied Software Engineering

M-SParc are looking to employ a team player who builds strong relationships with project stakeholders.

As an apprentice, you will receive full access to all Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and Bangor University student services, including disability and wellbeing, library and IT services, free membership to clubs and societies, free M-SParc gym membership and many other benefits. You will be assigned a personal tutor, this is a member of academic staff who is on hand to discuss academic work as well as provide pastoral care for the
duration of study.

What is the Skills Academy?
Recognising the digital skills gap in the region, particularly among underrepresented groups, M-SParc established the Skills Academy. It offers opportunities to nurture talent and refine skills for meaningful employment in North Wales.

Qualifications required
Educated to A level Standard (or equivalent) with at least one Science subject and/or Mathematics or being able to demonstrate experiences and projects developed on your own accord.
• Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and Networking.
• A high level of competence with Microsoft office
• The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this post.
• Good organisational skills in the context of conducting projects to a specified timetable.
• Be able to manage a busy and varied workload
• Be innovative, where appropriate, in approaches to tasks and projects. Familiarity with Windows, MAC-OS and/or Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Website design
• Experience of other IT applications – eg, Adobe products.
• An awareness of or experience with Project Management – it may be something you’ve studied or something you want to learn more about
