Course Description
This course is available to anyone with an interest in crime and punishment.
Course contents:
- How crime is socially constructed and Relative nature of crime
- Models of punishment
- Key types of punishment used in the following times:
- Early Modern Britain (c. 1500–1700)
- 18th and 19th Century
- 20th–21st Century
- Development of prisons and prison reform
- Crime and punishment today

Students will be expected to demonstrate their commitment to complete the course
Delivery
