These courses provide learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions as well as covering the effects of drugs, alcohol, and the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan. The 2 day Supervising First Aid for Mental Health course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. This course is aimed at those within a supervisor/manager level within the workplace, as the designated First Aider for Mental Health.
Learners over the age of 14.
Minimum level 1 in literacy or equivalent.
Reasonable adjustment for a learner who has a disability, medical condition.
Online: Tutor-led delivery via Zoom presentations, online individual discussions.
Classroom: Tutor-led delivery with use of PowerPoint presentations, classroom based individual and group activities and discussions.
For levels 2 & 3 a written assessment and practical scenario.
For distance learning there is a recorded professional discussion.
