This course has been designed to explore all aspects of how to resolve conflict that may arise at work.

Why Take This Course?

Gain practical solutions, techniques and a workbook in how to deal with Conflict Management in the workplace.

Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in practical activities adopting: The Six Principles of Conflict Management Model, to develop conflict management skills.

Key Content:

  • Definition: What is Conflict Management
  • Identify the types of conflict that may arise in the workplace. Reflecting on positive and negative conflict.
  • Look in to why conflicts arise in the workplace - Link to Motivation theory.
  • Analyse the factors that may cause conflict: based on own workplace: i.e., behaviour and link to Motivation theory.
  • Review the potential cause of reoccurring interpersonal conflict. Identify: Root cause.
  • Identify the real impact of conflict in your own workplace: Time, Cost and Team Well-being.
  • Conflict Management and the Law.
  • Apply in practice - Role Play: The Six Principles of Conflict Management Model to resolve conflict. This includes: listen, body language, defuse, empathy, negotiate and applying Emotional Intelligence (Goleman Model), when dealing with Conflict Management.
  • Complete a Conflict Management Workbook, with actions for further development.
